Omnierra is an ecological burial service providing a new alternative to traditional funeral practices, one that addresses anticipatory grief and helps heal the earth as we reconnect it with our physical bodies. Here, the spark of life continues.

The concept of Omnierra was inspired by recent growth and breakthrough in the practice of ecological burials. The process of Natural Organic Reduction (otherwise known as NOR) involves speeding up the body’s decomposition cycle to create fertile soil which can then be used to sustain forests, give back to loved ones, create gardens, and generally support new life.

Omnierra takes things a step further. One of the questions that concerned people regarding ecological burial, or more specifically the reuse of the soil to grow new plants at home, was how to ensure their survival. Omnierra addresses this question by providing specially designed terrariums (called Omnieriums) to house and protect the growing plant. This theoretical product would of course come in tandem with other services surrounding the ecological burial process.
